A Factory of the Future - How to manage change with Eric Verhelst
Eric Verhelst serves as the Plant Manager for the Automotive plant in Oostkamp since 2010. His plant, with 700 employees, is one of the 13 plants in the EMEA BU, and is the global competence center for Inductive Coil Systems.
Mr. Verhelst started his career in Siemens Oostkamp in 1979 as a Product Development Engineer for Communication Connectors. Following the acquisition of Siemens EC by Tyco Intl., Mr. Verhelst moved to the Automotive BU in 2002. After a role of Molding Manager in Oostkamp, Mr. Verhelst became the Plant Manager for a TE Automotive plant in Val-de-Reuil, France, before moving back to his home plant in Oostkamp.
Mr. Verhelst earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electromechanical Engineering from Technical University in Oostende, Belgium.
